Hello,
Today I wanted to share a super quick and simple card that is perfect for beginners.
I always start all of my cards with my card base using basic white thick cardstock (cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″).
Next, I took piece of poppy parade cardstock (4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″) and adhered it to my card.
Now it’s time for one of my favorite techniques. I took a piece of basic white cardstock (4″ x 5 1/4″) and used the small heart stamp from the Lots of Heart to make my background.
Although you can see different shades of color, I only used the poppy parade ink pad. To get the different shades, I started by inking up my stamp and then stamped on a scrap piece of paper before stamping on my cardstock. For my card, I stamped off four times to get the lightest shade, but there is no right or wrong way to do this, just have fun!

After I stamped the hearts, I stamped my sentiment using the “Love” and “you” stamps from the Always & Forever stamp set. I just love how well these two stamps sets (Lots of Heart and Always & Forever) coordinate with each other. I then adhered the basic white layer to my card.

My last step was to add a little bit of glitter to the darkest hearts using my Wink of Stella pen, a must have tool if you ask me!

And that’s it! Now you have a beautiful Valentine’s day card.
Don’t forget, you can shop for all of the supplies I used on my online store. You can click on the supply list below and it will take you directly to my store.
Have a great day!
