You can never have too many birthday cards! – part 2

This weekend I was able to make 10 additional cards for my 6×6 paper pad challenge. I think I might still be able to make a few more cards with this paper pad since I have a some pieces left. I also decided to make a video to show you how I make my cards. I usually start with a card sketch that I find on Pinterest and then I choose my paper and stamps. Making cards is not hard and it helps me relax so I highly recommend it. If you have any questions about where to start, just send me a message.

Here are the cards I made this past week. What do you think of the color combination?

I hope you have a great day!

You can never have too many birthday cards!

I had lost my motivation to make cards so it has been a while since I have gone into my craft room. I guess I had too many things going on that I just didn’t have the energy or motivation. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest hoping it would bring my creativity back, but it didn’t.

So, what do you do when you lose inspiration doing the thing you used to love the most? The answer for me was to go into my craft room and challenge myself. I decided I wouldn’t buy any new supplies until I used most of the supplies I already have. I also had some suggestions to start making cards to send to friends and family (I usually make cards for my family on their birthdays and sell the rest at craft fairs) during this time. Yes, that actually worked! I have my motivation back and I cannot wait to start mailing my cards.

The first thing I did was grab an old 6 x 6 paper pad, a few stamps and just started making cards. I actually challenged myself to see how many cards I could make with that paper pad.The theme for this set of cards is birthday, which is perfect for this challenge because you can never have too many birthday cards! I did use some card sketches for the layouts, and you can find them on my Pinterest board. So far I have been able to make 20 cards using this 6 x 6 paper pad. I still have some paper left and plan to make a few more cards, but I just couldn’t wait to share them with you. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog to get a notification when I post the rest of the cards.

Here are pictures of the cards I made. Which one is your favorite? Leave a comment below.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope you have a great day!

Picture Perfect Party Suite – Day 4

Hello,

I hope you had an amazing weekend and had some time to make some cards. I actually spent my weekend getting everything ready for my Picture Perfect Party workshop.

Today, I want to share another card I made using the Picture Perfect Party Suite.

I used Whisper White cardstock for the card base which measures 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. For the first layer, I used Peekaboo Peach cardstock, 5 1/4″ x 4″. I decided to use the patterned Picture Perfect Party DSP for my next layer, which is cut at 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.

Once I had my layers together, I took a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and cut it down to measure 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″. I then adhered my square to the bottom right corner of my card. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the candles from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set using the following ink pads: Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Peekaboo Peach. I then decided to cut it into a square using my Stiched Shapes Framelits Dies and Big Shot. After, i ran it through the Big Shot, I layered it on top of the Bermuda Bay square on my card, as you can see in the picture.

For the sentiment, I took a scrap piece of Peekaboo Peach cardstock made a little banner with my scissors and stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink. I used some dimensionals and adhered it to the card.

What do you think? Is this a card you would make? Give it a try a leave a comment with a picture of your card.

Have a great day,
